Balloon Aftercare
Our balloons are created using professional-grade materials and are styled to look their best for your event. As balloons are delicate by nature, their longevity can vary depending on environment and handling.
Air Filled Designs
(Garlands, backdrops & Installations)
Air filled designs are designed to last beyond your event when kept in suitable conditions.
-
Typically last 1-2 weeks indoors (minimal fluctuations in temperature)
-
Best kept in cool, dry environments
-
Avoid direct sunlight, heat and moisture
Exposure to heat or sun may cause balloons to expand, fade or pop while cooler temperature may cause slight shrinkage.
Due to the organic styling of garlands, minor changes in shape over time are normal.
Helium Balloons
Helium balloons are designed to last for the duration of your event.
Approximate float times:
-
Latex balloons: 8-12 hours
-
Hi-float treated latex: up to 2-3 days
-
Foil Balloons: 3-5 days
Float times can vary depending on temperature, humidity and handling.
Helium balloons should always be used under adult supervision and must never be inhaled, as this can cause serious injury or suffocation. If helium has been inhaled and symptoms such as dizziness, difficulty breathing or loss of consciousness occur, seek immediate medical advice or emergency assistance.
Foil Balloons should never be released outdoors, as they can travel long distances and come into contact with powerlines, causing serious electrical hazards and power outages. Always secure foil balloons with an appropriate weight and dispose of them responsibly after use.
Temperature & Environment
Balloons are highly sensitive to their surroundings:
-
Heat causes balloons to expand and may lead to popping
-
Cold air can cause balloons to shrink or appear under-inflated
-
Sudden temperature changes can affect appearance
For best results, we recommend keeping balloons indoors or in shaded, sheltered areas.
Handling & Care
To maintain the look of your setup:
-
Avoid sharp objects and rough surfaces
-
Do not pull, squeeze or sit on balloons
-
Minimise handling once installed
Outdoor Use
Outdoor setups are more exposed to environmental conditions and may not last as long.
Wind, heat, rain and uneven surfaces can affect both structure and longevity.
We are not responsible for damage caused by outdoor conditions once installed.
After Installation
Once your balloons have been installed or collected, responsibility transfers to the client.
We are not responsible for changes in appearance due to environmental conditions or handling after setup.
Disposal
Please dispose of balloons responsibly after your event. We recommend popping and placing in general waste and avoiding release into the environment.
